The anchoring cognitive bias is a tendency for people to rely heavily on initial information when making decisions. This bias can be influenced by arbitrary numbers, even seemingly random two-digit numbers. It can affect business decisions, as well as decisions about spending money. To avoid being manipulated by anchoring, it's important to be aware of when this bias is affecting your decisions.

Of topic question, do you have an update on your 2017 Honda Pilot? I’m looking to buy a 2017 touring edition and I’m worried about the transmission issues. Thank you for your time.

I actually didn't even listen to the number 200. I had to rewind when you referred to it later.

And: Initially you didn't ask for the exoplanets »already discovered«. Therefore 200 wouldn't have made any sense at all.
Everyone knows that there must be a huge number of exoplanets, some »-illions«. There are 70 quintillion (70*10^18) of stars after all.

Maybe another example would work better. And wouldn't outdate as fast as this one also.
