Saccharin is an artificial sweetener that's often used as a sugar substitute in various products. You can find it in items like diet sodas, sugar-free desserts, and tabletop sweeteners. It's used to provide sweetness without the added calories of sugar, making it a popular choice for people looking to reduce their sugar intake or manage their weight.

Now, while saccharin can be helpful for people who want to cut down on sugar or watch their weight, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Some folks might find that foods with saccharin taste a bit different from the real sugary stuff. Also, back in the day, there were concerns that really, really high amounts of saccharin could be linked to health issues, but more recent studies have shown that it's generally safe for most people when used in normal amounts.

So, like with anything, it's good to enjoy saccharin-containing things in moderation. It's a bit like having a sweet helper in your food, but just like with any helper, it's best not to go overboard.

It's been around since the 1800s and there is no evidence of harm in the people who have used it. The study of the microbiome is quite recent and links to health outcomes are often speculative without mechanistic links.

What did he say about Monk fruit? Seems like the videos edited but this sentence appeared out of nowhere and wasn’t complete.

The only one that I've personally seen to potentially be harmful to the gut is Sucralose, which I try to limit my consumption of. So I mostly just consume Aspartame as I havn't seen any good evidence for Aspartame being harmful in any way.

I had a student whose family made food for Nestle. They did a private study on Aspartame and found it to cause brain tumors in rats.

Absolutely, I ate some sweets (won't say which one) with artificial sweetener and what followed was disturbing. I spent most of the night in the toilet. Sorry for the details, but it was most certainly the A. sweetner. Thanks for this.
