The worst pain in all of this for me, is that Coldplay is one of my favorite bands. And I agree with this score. The same band that made Parachutes, Rush of Blood to the Head, Death and all his Friends, and X and Y, has made an album that I can’t even start to listen to. The track names alone. Emojis as track titles?? Really? Go back to 2003 and tell someone that Coldplay is going to use Emojis as track titles.

I absolutely loved Coloratura, and because of that track alone I was excited for this project. Gave each song a listen and never picked the album back up again.

Jokes and memes aside, to see Coldplay, a band that I grew up with and had a huge impact on my music taste, become an utterly unrecognizable shell of its former self is legitimately devastating. I guess the saying is true: you either die a John Lennon or live long enough to be a Ringo Starr.

If this album were under the artist name Death Grips and also written, produced and performed by Death Grips and was only tracks from The Money Store and called The Money Store you'd give this a 10/10.
