What part of PK people didn't understand I just don't get it. That movie was not insulting religion, the whole purpose of the movie is to expose those people who are doing business and misleading people in the name of religion. I mean just look around, there are real life examples. Nityanand, Ram Rahim and many more. If you see the movie you will get to know that the movie talked about every religion.
Not saying that Bollywood is clean. Talk about nepotism, talk about gender biased salary, their remake and repackaging of South movies and the list goes on. Have a debate on these topics.
But it is completely not cool to torture someone who tried to expose the bad things going on in the name of religion.
