I don't have anyone to help me with this task, and I have 4 cats. My doctor told me to wear a mask (litter dust gets into the air pretty bad), wear disposable gloves (I do NOT reuse them - they're cheap enough to toss after each scooping), and wash my hands directly after. I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant, and all my ultrasounds and blood tests have come back good.
It is also possible I'm immune to toxoplasmosis (the sickness that is the main concern here) because I've had indoor/outdoor cats since childhood, and I've been scratched and bitten countless times, plus all the litter I've scooped over some 25 years. And if I am immune, that immunity is passed to my baby through the placenta.

Not helpful, because I can't get anyone else to do it. What I want to know is how to do it anyway, but safely.
