Hi guys and Gals, are you fed up of the crappy look of your peeling steering wheel on your nice Mondeo?

Well your in luck! I'm about to show you how to change the steering wheel! and dont worry its surprisingly easy.... Just make sure you dont try and do it with the battery still connected!!!! now wheres my sledge hammer...........

A very concise and good tutorial. You saved me a lot of time. Having experience with disassembly of a steering wheel in Mondeo Mk3, I did't think it would be so quick and easy in Mk5. I did not have a 3 mm punch, but a 3 mm Allen key did the job, I just had to fiddle with it in the hole to firmly press the spring.

Thank you for excellent video. I did not have special tools for the job but right size drill and cooking spatula did the job just fine. I bought steering wheel with all knobs, because I thought it would be difficult to change the knobs. When steering wheel came, of course it had wrong knobs, so I had to do it anyways. But with a help from your video it was piece of cake and took about 5 min.

I can't get the airbag to release, what would I be doing wrong? I can feel the spring engaging on my screwdriver but I can't get it to release

I tried adding shifters on wheel but It looks that i had another wiring that I dont find on new wiring loom. Maybe it's for heating steering wheel. Do you know if i can rewire it just to new jack

Hi Jim great video I just ordered my replacement due to wear and ordered the 3mm punch just awaiting delivery a Machanic said to me I will need the air bag resetting after I have changed it can you confirm if you had too much appreciated and great videos you give the confidence to take on these
