[Black MIDI] Synthesia – Touhou 10 - The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw 170,000 ~ ScubDomino

One of my new favourite Touhou songs!

I tried going all-out on the audio again, optimizing the MIDI for Keppy's Steinway Piano to bring out all of the beautiful notes hidden from playback. But nonetheless, the MIDI in and of itself is very well-made as expected. The song itself is also well-made, hence why I felt I had to upload this.

Here is another edit of this MIDI where the audio is more precise (the audio plays almost instantly when the note hits the bottom of the screen where the key lights up). This was a mistake but tell me if it's any better than the usual delay I put up. You might not see a difference, and the only change is the delay removal.

This is one of my favourite videos along with Romeo and Cinderella. This was back when I used KSP and used Keppy's Synthesizer driver under a 700-voice limit (I would hand-record my audio out of the synth; this was before I used Keppy's Converter). Now that I have KSP working again, I'm going to use it in later videos again! Turns out, KSP stopped working for me these months because I didn't extract the samples. Brainfart.

I especially liked that most of the "black MIDI effects" are muted so that they are heard, but rather than disrupting the piece it adds and accompanies the piece nicely.
