'Influencer' Trailer: A Shudder Original Movie | Emily Tennant, Sara Canning

Influencer tells the story of Madison (Emily Tennant, Riverdale), a popular social media influencer who is having a lonely and uneventful trip in Thailand despite what she tells her followers on Instagram. While reflecting on her boyfriend canceling the trip, she meets CW (Cassandra Naud, See), a fearless and enigmatic traveler who offers to take her to some of the most Instagram-worthy locations. Together they share authentic meals and drinks with locals, discussing the differences between Madison's online presence and CW's lack of one. After showing Madison all of the amazing sights, things take a different turn when CW brings her to a surprise location - a deserted island that is completely off the grid.

Excellent movie. One of the best horror movies I've seen in years. It's not scary, I fact it's actually more of a thriller but it's quite unique and I can see myself watching it again in the near future.

Just finished and I liked it alot... The actor playing CW did a great job pissing me off at her character lol ...I thought I was gonna hate the ending but thank goodness it was different

This movie awakened something in me...I think I have a thing for birthmarks now. My god, Cassandra Naud is...breathtaking.

And the movie itself was pretty good as well. Knew we were in for a treat when the opening credits didn't start until 26 minutes in. It doesn't play out like a typical horror flick. I thought we were going to be following Madison trying to survive on the island...pleasantly surprised that it changes gears a bit.

I quite liked this one. The person who turned out to be the film's lead had a great performance and I wanted them to slip up and get caught but it was also intriguing to follow them along and see where the story was going.

I just want to shout out and thank the [re]viewers here whose comments convinced me to give this movie a chance; and did so without spoiling it at all. This trailer actually doesn't even do the film justice, which was a _fantastic_ surprise. Great film, definitely had me engaged the entire time❣
To boot, I actually gained/learned something from this film. (And I must be becoming more sensitive, as I actually had to turn away/avert my gaze once.) 🫣
