Saab Aero 2.8T custom straight pipe exhaust

Cold start Rev, piped 3" from the cat back. Saab 9-3 Aero 2.8T 6MT.

this was only 3" cat back. so midpipe and downpipe were stock. just recently while I had the trans off and installing a stage2 clutch, I saw how big and restrictive the dowpipe is so spur of the moment got me online to GS.com and ordered a 3"catless downpipe.  I did not want to pay another $300 dollars for the midpipe so I Cut the cat out of there and also welded in a flange so I can take the exhaust off if I need to instead of cutting the exhaust every time.

Was this car built by GM? Is that a GM engine does anyone know? I'm looking at getting one and would like to have it able to be worked on with GM parts.
