Justin DeLoretto served as a chapter president of the Mongols Motorcycle Club for 15 years in Oregon, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. He also influenced the founding of one of the largest Australian chapters, which served as a base for expansion into Asia.

He discusses initiation, prospecting, getting a patch, and brotherhood within the club. He also covers the rivalry with the Hells Angels and the Outlaws and alignment with the Pagans. He dives into what it was like to be at parties and how "old ladies" are treated. He also covers corruption within the gang from former leaders, such as Ruben "Doc" Cavazos. He discusses Operation Black Rain and being pursued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

DeLoretto is now a social worker. He is the author of "The Ride of My Life" and hosts the podcast "Mondays with Mooch."

Every interview with former club/gang/mafia members:

"We had rules you had to follow, you couldn't sell drugs, you couldn't do crimes, you had to snuggle all the little bunnies and puppies you could find, you had to help old ladies cross the street and save kittens stuck in trees. All those crimes were done by individuals acting on their own, or by other gangs, or by the feds instigating crimes"

Just wanted to say a big win for me for a video to just start. No clips from half way through the video to "draw people in" you just gave us actual content. Thank you.

My dad’s a drummer and sometimes the bands he played with would play at Mongol’s events. As a kid it never felt scary being around them all. Ignorance was bliss.

A couple of years ago, I worked Casino Security. We had a group of Mongols come in and sit at the bar. About 30 minutes later a group of Hell's Angels came in and sat at another bar across the room. We actually had experience with both groups as they would both come in at one time or another to play or drink or whatever, but never at the same time. Both the Hell's Angels and Mongols were actually really chill if you talked to any of them, however we were stressed to the max just waiting for something to pop off. Thankfully both groups just stuck to themselves. We were expecting the opposite.

I chuckled at the end where it said they weren't able to reach Doc for comment. He's the guy in the witness protection. program.

Why are biker gangs so corporate? I was waiting to hear: “He hit on my old lady so I reported him to regional HR”

He’s definitely a PR guy, he downplayed the 2nd deadliest MC in the country to seem like they were the T’Birds

7:10 Just a side note that Skinheads were originally, not racist. Then the racist came, and the Skinheads now had to specifically be against racism or say they werent racist in order to fight that. I was from the punk scene and some acquaintances ended up in biker gangs as well.

Pay your chapter dues, come to the meetings, follow the dress code, don't do or sell drugs... Motorcycle gangs sound exactly like an HOA

So, it's a fraternity where one of the activities is killing members of other fraternities.

Very few actually understand who mooch really is. I really wish this would’ve been uncut due to mooch being able to speak more freely. This interview was butchered where only the highlights were taken from this. He would’ve never put a 20 minute interview like this one turned out. This has been cut from over 2 hours of raw film. Mooch sincerely cared about his brothers. I was struggling with work and family issues and I came home from work after a 14 hour day. When I opened my garage door he was in my garage picking up take off bike parts and cleaned up my entire garage. He only did this due to him knowing what I was going through, and wanted to help ease my stress. He always helped his brothers any way he could. I didn’t come from the major club, I just helped kick off LTR. Love you mooch, I’ll see you soon.

This guy's down to earth. I'm glad he was able to get into something like being a social worker.

I've been out riding and had Mongols riders swerve at me numerous times, even when I was courteous and moved to the left of the carpool lane to let them by with room. I don't ride a Harley, and I've had my license for 20 years. I know etiquette, and a lot of these guys down here lack it.

This and the Hell’s Angels one just reminds me of that South Park episode with the bikers 😂

I work at a casino and the Mongols come up about two or three times a year. They've always minded their business; no excessive drunkenness, outbursts, disputes. Some coworkers feel uneasy, but I've never seen trouble with them. Just guys looking to enjoy their time there.
