The Latvian Gambit?! @ludwig throws something TOTALLY unexpected at Papaplatte during PogChamps, but Papaplatte responds well and seems to in control when the most incredible thing happens! This is a must-watch Pogchamps chess match between Ludwig and Papaplatte!

This is so weird if you watched Botez, Hikaru and Papaplatte a month ago. Like a mix of things that don't belong together and never thought they would appear on the same stream.

4:46 ludwig wanted the "horse" so bad he became one

It almost feels like the objective is to find the most creative way to lose, until eventually someone had to win. "He put his horses 2 apart, literally allowing me to pin it" is such a brilliant line because it displays knowledge of the mechanics of chess and some basic strategy while simultaneously sounding like he has no idea what he's doing.
