Hari Om GuruDev!

Infinitely grateful to you for today's blast of a session. The nididyasana sadhana was very very deep. Thank you so so so very much GuruDev.

Inputs from today's session:-

There are two important stages. One is the reception aspect where we have to receive our best from the empowerment given by the Guru. The second aspect is the efforts we take up to retain the empowerment and grow to the next level. We have to always strive to live up to our potential.

A tamasic person will not put efforts at all and even if he/ she puts efforts it would be for others appreciation. A rajasic person will also put efforts for others appreciation. A sattvic person puts efforts for self satisfaction and independent of others appreciation.

Any quality or emotion (say contentment or satisfaction) that stops us from putting efforts or doing sadhana, then it must be identified as tamas.

A tamasic person will not put efforts in the name of being satisfied. A rajasic person will never be satisfied with any efforts. A sattvic person will be satisfied with the efforts at the same time he/ she puts more efforts to grow. Externally both the sattvic and tamasic person will look same but they both are not all the same.

AGAM (Impurity):

Agam refers to a rajasic person.

Aspects of Agam:

i) Accident - A rajasic person tends to make errors in his actions which can be corrected by the Guru if the person surrenders.

ii) Misdeed - A rajasic person tends to do actions that doesn't reach up to the mark or goal.

Sadhana - Our success should not be defined by the failure of others. Our success should be defined by the quality of our efforts.

iii) Distress - A rajasic person person tends to do actions which are like nectar in the beginning and poison in the end which leads to stress. When a person gets distressed, his/ her external productivity and inner peace reduces which leads to the devolution in worldly and spiritual level.

A tamasic person and a rajasic person will take the path of actions which are nectar in the beginning and poison in the end. But a sattvic person will always take up the path of actions which are poison in the beginning and nectar in the end.

There would be competition only between tamas and rajas where rajas would win. But there would never be competition with sattva as the person will be above all this.

iv) Crime - A rajasic person tends to be morose which is a social, moral and spiritual crime.

Sadhana to be done:-

i) To observe the areas we are distressed.

ii) To observe the areas where our feeling of contentment or satisfaction stops us from putting efforts.

Infinite thanks to you GuruDev for everything.
Deepest Gratitude and Humble Pranaams.
Hari Om GuruDev.

Humble pranams, Yogishri 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Many thanks for today’s very inspiring session followed by installing the principles in the deepest layers of my mind.
Receiving healing and wisdom alone is not enough but practising the principles and should become established is the basis for going to the next level.
Tamasic person is delusional and impure, satisfied and contented for all wrong reasons.
Rajasic person’s starts off with a good motive, but becomes impure, stressed and agitated. Less productive and less inner peace.
Satvik person has good bhavana and act in a very calm way and does all the right things in life. He is very effective, productive, peaceful inside and outside. So he is very successful both in the worldly life and spiritual life.
Hw - Locate the areas where I am stressed without blaming others.
Thanks for the 6 day very powerful empowerment sessions, Yogishri. It was very calming, uplifting . I feel like i am responding to situations more than reacting with less effort. And when i act in an impulsive way to certain situations, I become immediately aware after the incident is over and try to prevent that happening again. This is huge transformation in me. Whenever my mind thinks negative of someone in front of me, before uttering something stupid about them, I become alert and physically move my body from the place. My goal is to stop complaining about others and please help me in achieving this longgg formed habit of mine, Yogishri 🙏🏻To win over myself is the hardest thing in the world.i want to become a Satvik person as soon as possible with your grace and be of help to myself and others around.
I am extremely grateful for taking your time and showing and teaching me the right way to live.
Ananta koti pranams to you, Yogishri 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hari Om Yogishri !!! Thank You so much for the powerful discourse

We as sadhaks should learn this skill of retaining and growing any form of wealth which we acquire, this is more so applicable in our spiritual path as well. This will help us to attain abundance both in the internal as well as the external level.

Striving to attain the best should be our goal in life. In that case, we should put in all the effort in the direction of a chosen goal backing up our actions with these qualities of cheer and enthusiasm. This helps in creating a major difference by scaling the quality of work completely to an other level.

The quality of Tamas can never be compared with that of sathva for the fact that they are two extreme existence. But by adding these two qualities too our action, we will be able to move from being Rajasic to that of being Sathvic.

Thank You so much once again for everything Yogishri 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Pranam Yogishri
Thank you for today's Divine session.

When we approach Guru, there are two aspects:
1. Guru gives us the higher wisdom, higher healing, higher shakti through Sadhana, empowerment and various ways. We receive, we get inspired;
2. Then it is we who need to Retain the energy given, clinch it, make the choice and put in more efforts and get established in the higher shakti.

As a sadhak, we need to always strive to live up to our potential; not be happy, content in a tamasic way with the benefits; we need to continue our sadhana and move up - this is what is said by Masters, Yogis and our Guru. From Tamasic to Rajasic to Satvik to Guna Atheetha, rising beyond all gunas - state of Infinite.

Agham - dimensions:
*Accident, error, imperfection, wrong way of doing - a rajasic person can be rectified, requires correction. A tamasic person - Stenah not doing actions - requires lot of effort, force also.
*Misdeed - missed the mark - the target is not hit, the goal is not achieved, even when the efforts are put. Missed the mark due to distractions, impurities. Independently, our life should be defined by our goals with respect to our efforts, not with other's failure, no comparison.
*Distress, sorrow, lonely, stressed - rajas immediate joy, but long run sorrow; satva immediate pain, yet long run happiness; tamas no effort, no pain, no joy, only sorrow. Rajasic distress - actions become ineffective, productivity reduces. Need to strive to become more satvik in our life.
*Crime, criminal - rajasic person, not living to their potential is a crime. Sadhana only saves us.

Home work: Where all I am stressed, locate - focus and convert into satva.
Thank you Yogishri

Namaste Guruji,
Thank you for empowering us last week and for the reinforcement today.
What I learnt today:
Receive, retain and establish in the higher principles.
Stress is related to the element of rajas.Success is not relative to others.
The goal is to achieve our spiritual potential.
With sincere gratitude,

Hari Om Yogishri!
Thank you so much for a very revealing session today!
Key points that I could grasp:
In any empowerment- there is transference of energy- due to this, the student is able to absorb the wisdom better and his experience in meditation is deepened. In other words, the student’s level is pushed up further by the Master. Thereafter, it is up to the student to maintain this level and move forward, this is possible only through applying proper efforts and doing one’s personal sadhana consistently. If the efforts applied are inadequate or non- consistent, it will lead to a gradual downfall from the level of spiritual advancement attained.
The student will always receive energy from the Master to the extent to which he is open, committed and fully surrenders to the Master. His growth will be dependent on – his ability to receive energy from the Master and in being inspired to put in efforts and doing his sadhana consistently.
When a person is inspired to put in efforts consistently – then he is in Satwic mode. When a person is stressed about putting in efforts- then it is a Rajasic approach. When a person evades and does not apply any effort at all, it is Tamasic mode.
In verse 13- the word Agam- denotes accident, error, impurity.
When an action is done with the right intention but if appreciation and praise is sought for the results obtained, it is an impurity and it is said to be Rajasic. When an action is done with good intention, with pure joy of doing the action, without expecting any praise or appreciation- it is Satwic in nature. Not performing any action is Tamasic in nature.
Agam- means mis deed; when an action is done with right intentions and efforts are applied in doing it, however, if the goal is not reached, then it is a mis deed- which belongs to Rajasic nature. Even when the results accrue some degree of success due to the efforts applied, if the target is not clinched then it is still a mis deed.
Agam means distress; when efforts are applied and the target is not reached, then it leads to distress. Any action that gives pleasure instantly but is harmful in the long run- causes distress and is Rajasic in nature; whereas any action that is bitter in the beginning but turns out to be nectarine in the long run – is Satwic in nature- for eg- doing sadhana consistently.
Agam means crime; In verse 12 Lord Krishna describes a Tasmic person as a theif- Sthenaha with respect to the principle of Parasparam but in this verse a stronger word- Criminal has been used to describe a Rajasic person.
In spirituality, not living up to one’s true potential is a crime and therefore the word crime/ criminal has been used. One’s true potential is becoming the Infinite.
Swami Rama Theertha says that being morose is a social and spiritual crime. It is a social crime, as it is a contagious feeling and spreads to those around. Like wise, it is a spiritual crime, as it indicates that one is not living up to one’s full potential. Being morose prevents one from growing spiritually therefore entertaining it is considered as a spiritual crime.
Home work- Work backwards and examine those aspects in your life that are causing stress to you. Convert them into Satwa by putting in more effort in an inspired manner and doing Sadhana consistently.
Thank you so much Yogishri and thank you for the blissful meditation session! Pranams!!

Chapter 3 Verse 13 (2nd line - Rajasic)
Hari: Om Sir, thank you very much for the session.

Notes from the session:
- We may be at a better state having connected to the Guru. However, once we are connected to the higher and are getting the empowerment, the 2nd phase is to put the self effort.
• It is extremely important to put self effort in order to grow spiritually.
• When we do not put that required effort, one eventually devolves in the path. So, it is important that the effort is put so it keeps us moving.

- When you are rajasic, you may get benefits and people may call you successful, but that would cause stress in the long term. It would be joyful in the beginning but causes sorrow in the long run.
• Reason may be because you will feel lonely, or incomplete due to the gaps that were created due to the journey that you went thru to reach that place.
• However, when a Satvik person reaches that cliff of his own success, he does not compare with others and hence he/she is happy in their own way and does not have that sorrow element.
- when measured in comparison to others' failures is not a true success.
• Success in your life should be measured by your efforts and your goals not by others' failures
• Our life has nothing to do with others' success or failure.
- You must measure your success in its own way of the goal that you have set for yourself. It not way depends on where others stand. For example, when the entire class fails with less than 40 marks for 100, and you got just pass mark of 40, you are not at success. Your success should never depend on others' failure. It should be based on the your own goal that you have set for yourself of say 80 or 90 marks.
- fix your goals and put in right kind of efforts and achieve the goals

- If you want to be more efficient and effective, then you need to be Sathvik. When Rajas competes with tamas, rajas will win. Satvik person does not look for competition, He does his job

- In terms of Happiness in Tamasic, Rajasic and Sathvik way -
• A tamasic mind will be in the delusion of happiness from beginning till the end
• A Rajasic mind gets success, becomes happy in the short term, but gets in to a state of sorrow/incompleteness in the long run.
• A Sathvik mind goes thru short term pain, like poison, but eventually gets into state of happiness in long term.

- In terms of recognition -
• A Tamasic mind does not want to put any effort but wants to get recognition.
• A Rajasic mind puts the effort, is showy and wants to get recognition.
• A Sathvik mind puts tremendous effort, is not showy and would not get expect any recognition.

- Agham means -
- Imperfection/accident
- Misdeed - Missed the mark
- Sorrow/distress
- Crime

- Misdeed (46:00)
- Misdeed - is any action that did not reach its objective.
- When we start something with a goal in mind, but got dissolved in between and never "completely" reached its original goal.
- For example - when we start a noble action, act on it but in the mean while, get dissolved due to some impure deed. This happens when we settle for something lower and think we reached that happiness goal.
- Example that was quoted - a person with perfection in martial arts would have reached a world championship and won in it, but still have a lot of practice.
- Those deeds that have missed the mark. 99% completed, but 1% missed goal. Others may consider you as a winner but you have not reached that final goal. You cannot call yourself as a success, even if others call you as success.

- Crime -
- Agham, a rajasic mind, is categorized to be a quality of crime since the true potential was not achieved.
- A person who has the caliber to achieve the highest, should reach the highest. We should not settle for less, for materialistic benefits, but should reach the highest state of happiness.

- Question was asked if doing Sadhana is addictive since the day when we miss our sadhana, it makes us feel very low.
• It is definitely addiction, but in a positive way. It is the addiction in order for ourselves to get better.
• If we do not want to get addicted to the sadhana way, and when the mind is free, it will get addicted to something else. So, instead get addicted to Sadhana, which will eventually give you Sathvik happiness.

Hari Om Gurudev🙏🙏🙏🪷. Thank You so very much for today's powerful session. Feeling very relaxed and healed during the session itself. Thank You so very much Dear Master🙏🙏🙏.

The Empowerment of YogaSankirtan was very very powerful. Thank You so very much Dear Gurudev🙏🙏🙏.

With the help and guidance of The Gurushakthi, We need to put the effort in order to evolve spiritually.

The tamasic aspect with respect to Parasparam is stenah. Stenah means a thief who keeps receiving but does not contribute.

The aspects of rajasic quality with respect to Parasparam:

Agam: impurity.

The rajasic person has the bhavana to give and it's more like a business transaction where the give and take are calculated and the emphasis is more on what is been received.

The various dimensions of agam are:

Accident or error: the attitude of the rajasic person has some errors which can be corrected when surrendered to The Gurushakthi.

Misdeed: the actions performed by the rajasic person tends towards the goal but due to some distraction the actions are not up to the mark or the goal is not reached. It is not in comparison with others achievement but it is with respect to the goal which we had fixed in the beginning.

Distress: the actions and bhavana of the rajasic mind is very pleasurable in the beginning but it becomes like poison in the longer run. Whereas for a saatvic mind, the actions are like poison in the beginning and turns out nectarine in the longer end.

Crime: when we are unable to live up to the potential of a human being it is a crime. Swami RamaTirtha said ' Being morose is a social moral and spiritual crime'.
A rajasic mind is always stressed. We need to be cheerful and happy.

Sadhana: to check in which aspect of our life does the mind feel stressed and the reason for the stress. Do the Sadhana to release the stress.

Thank You Dear Holy Master for Everything 🙏🙏🙏🪷.
Deepest gratitude and humble pranams.

Thank you for today's session 🙏

Rajasic happiness is immediate but temporary. It turns into distress and sorrow. Pleasure to start with poison to end with
Homework- identify areas of stress and how in those areas rajasic approach is present.

Thank you Yogishri for this deep session,
The two stages of Sadana
1. Receiving the higher blessings and energy
This is done by using opportunities to grow spiritually and opening yourself to the higher wisdom.
2. Retaining what you have received
This is done through continuous maintenance through regular Sadhana. If this is neglected a person may lose whatever he has gained. On the other hand through regular practice one not only maintains what one has received but also masters it and grow enough to attract more spiritual energy and reach higher levels.

The various dimensions of Agam
1. Error/ Accident: Agam which is a characteristic of Rajas has the quality of error and accident. While the process might be began with effort on the way there are accidents or errors which makes the process ineffective or inefficient
2. Misdeed: Missing the target or the mark. The impurities lead to the targets going off mark.
3. Crime: It prevents you from reaching your full potential and anything that stops taking you to your full potential is a crime

HW: Look at the areas of your life where you are stressed.

Hari AUM. Thank you Sri Yogishri for the session and giving dimensions for agham.
One must not be content with ongoing spiritual growth since it may lead to tamas and prevent progress in the spiritual path. Therefore, one must make an effort for evolution in spiritual growth after having received the instructions from a guru.
Material wealth is finite unlike spiritual wealth which is infinite.
Receiving and sustaining is a two step formula for spiritual growth.
To the extent a student is ready to receive, to that extent a guru would give.
Sri Krishna uses various psychological techniques to inspire Arjuna in a selfless way.
The 1st dimension of agham is impure or an accident which may be an error. One must live up to one's full potential.
The 2nd dimension of agham is misdeed which reflects the presence of an effort but misses the goal or mark. Success must not be defined by other people’s failures, which leads to tamas. Success must me measured in terms of setting up a goal or goals and achieving that or those goals.
The 3rd dimension of agham is distress or sorrow. When approach is rajasic, one gets excitement in short term but subsequently it gives sorrow.
The choice of terminology by Sri Krishna is worth noting such as tamasic is stenah and rajasic is agham. Rajasic achievement leads to sorrow, agitation, and stress. Stress leads to a decrease in productivity and a loss of inner peace.
A satvic person is way beyond competition and focuses on bavana and effort.
The 4th dimension of agham is crime. It is said that not living up to a person’s potential is a crime. Being miserable is a spiritual crime because it interferes with one’s potential (Ramatirta).
The previously described word inspire a tamasic person to move towards satva.

After empowerment we should continue our daily sadhana so we can continue in our spiritual journey without discontinuity. This helps us to move higher.

Hari Om Guruji,
Pranaams 🙏

Thanks for yet another powerful Sunday session with the healing and blast of energy and guidance.

The key to spiritual progress is to keep doing the sadhana especially after attending the powerful empowerment session which shall help us to build on the energy received during the empowerment from the master and help us move towards our ultimate goal of merging with the infinite.

Thanks for sharing the different dimensions of the Agam which primarily means impure or impurity but also means Accident or error, misdeed, criminal etc. Here lord has used the word criminal for a rajasic person, Sthena for a tamasic person, and sant for satwik person. So our ultimate purpose is to move up the three gunas and ultimately reach the state of Trans Guna or the infinite.

Thanks once again for the powerful session and all the guidance.

Hariom Yogishri.
Thank you for a deep session today. Felt like it was a continuation of 6 days program .

Todays points#

1. For a sadhak, sadhna is paramount and rest Guru shakti takes care.

2. अघम is the characteristics of रजसिक person. Each one of us have तमस, रजस & सत्व element is various areas of life. Key is to first become aware of them and work towards improving through sadhna and Gurus guidance.

3. 4 key dimensions of अघम/रजस are #
- Accident ( person put effort but there is imperfection)

- Misdeed ( misdirected action, missing origional target)

- Distress ( being in a state of sorrow, insecurity )

- Crime ( not living to fullest potential)

4. Now if we observe we see all above in day to day actions of ours

Homework is to identify which all areas I am रजसिक based on above four factors .

Thank you sir for guiding us on how to live a meaningful life.

Hari Om Yogishiri,
Thanks so much for today's sadhana and discourse dealing with the higher yogic principles. Few points I am able to recollect :-
Whenever a Guru gives empowerment energy and raises the student's level, it is up to the student to retain the energy by doing everyday sadhana immediately without any haste and then further move up. Else slowly the energy gets dissipated soon. It is important to realize this especially after attending powerful empowerments. Since the mind plays a game, now that the goal starts manifesting, it says ok I got this, so I have done really well so far, I will take a short break and come back. By then it is already late, energy is lost and hence you go further down instead of actually going up.
Actually today's session itself looked very different than previous sessions, like you had suggested, the amount of receptivity is improving, I felt active almost throughout the session and was able to relate to most of what is being said, generally the mind zones out occasionally and comes back. Although it did happen couple of times, I was able to realize and quickly pull the mind back to the discourse, consciously. Otherwise its rather unconscious, the whole process.
A Guru can actually give only until these two aspects are fulfilled in a student : 1) The student intends to receive the energy and 2) Student does the sadhana diligently. If even one is missing, slowly the Guru energy flow will automatically get closed.
We saw whenever something inspires you to put in more effort, then that aspect is Sattvic ; whenever something stops you from putting efforts and rather does not inspire you, then that is Tamasic.
We saw further 4 asepcts of Agam :
1) Impure/accident : Based on efforts you put in, unless you are 100 % sattvic and just put in effort without expecting praise
2) Missed its target/goal : You should define your goals and achieve it, there should not be any comparison with others (like in the case of an exam)
3) Distress/Sorrow : If you are sorrowful, your productivity and inner peace decreases drastically and you cannot be successful externally
4) Crime/criminal : According to Yogi's if you don't live to your full potential then it is a crime (natural)
When using these words, although bit harsh, Agam is more tonally different from Stenaha. Stenaha is theif, very bad, Agam is more like criminal doing things out of a impure mindset, can be brought back to normal if he had the knowledge.
Homework of this week is a continuation of last week's : Just to work backwards and understand deeply, where you are stressed in life, locate the Rajasic approach you are taking and make corrections slowly.
Pranams & Warm regards,
Subramanyan

Hi Yogishri - It will simply great after the empowerment session. One thing which hit me very hard is the clarity to drop old habits and which drains the energy. Especially the part which you explained moving from Tamas to Rajas to Sattva. It was clearly demonstrated with my energies, Like it was like surfing over the habits effortlessly. I was waiting for this moment for so long, The question how to maintain the enthu and the energy, Destruction energy just took over and it was so effortless with so much love for the folks around me. Just wanted to share
Thank you Yogishri!! It was just another great experience

Hari Om Yogishri🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Swamiji for this week’s wonderful discourse. Pranams Guruji🙏🙏
With each and every empowerment program our spiritual level significantly pushed up with the blessing of our Guru, the holy masters and with the higher grace. We should make the best use of the it and intensify our regular Sadhana to further evolve and grow.
Masters always wants to give more, the onus is in the student to prepare himself to receive the same by following all the instructions from the teacher and do the regular sadhana. If we have slackened somewhere, we should learn from our mistakes, rectify that and move forward.
In give and take when we calculate we will become stressed and that will impact us. The thumb rule is, we should always give more than what we take. If we follow this principle our mind will become calm and with calm mind our actions will become effective and efficient.
Not living up to our true potential is a spiritual crime which actually is preventing us from achieving our ultimate purpose of our life.
Thanks again for the amazing meditation session installing subtler Sadhana aspects into our deeper and sub-conscious minds🙏🙏🙏
