This is a taste test/review of the Mama Cozzi’s (ALDI) Philly Cheese Steak Calzone. It is beef steak with Provolone and mozzarella cheese, diced green peppers, Ricotta cheese and onion strips in a golden pocket. It was $2.29. ½ calzone (85g) = 190 calories

I used to microwave such. Today though, I grilled 1/2 on my electric griddle. Wow, what a vast improvement! Goodbye soggy microwaved sandwich, hello full flavor.

Im shocked with how good these are.. almost tastes like a real cheesesteak.

You should do a review if you have an air fryer. Had to do some searching but found decent cook settings for the aldi calzones at 350 flipping over halfway through for about 15 mins give or take then check the temp to around 160 inside and it turns out so much better than microwaved. 😊

* Toaster oven them on high until just a little toasted, butter, and then microwave 30-45 seconds or so. Parm on side.

I notice you really like Philly Cheese Steak flavored things, Kevin. Have you ever had the real deal from Philly? They are awesome. You should make an East Coast trip one day and do reviews for real NYC Pizza, Philly Cheese steaks, Buffalo wings, etc

I really like the Calzones Walmart carries in their deli area but these sound definitely like something I would like and a must try. Thank you Kevin.
