044 Our neighbors told us about this antiques brocante and we couldn't wait to go see it. We also invited the very first person to recognize us in public for our YouTube Channel....Ha! We're famous! HahaHa...not!

It was so nice meeting you Barb, and we are so happy to hear your treasures made it back to the U.S. unbroken.

Thank you again for watching,

Michael and April

Description of Us:
We are a couple of American Francophiles who have come to truly appreciate so many things about French culture. We love the food, wine, art, and history of France, but especially the people we have met along the way. Join us as we make our dream of living in France a reality. Follow us as we explore the French living and a new life there with our beloved dog, Bernice. We enjoy learning about stone house renovation, wine, cooking, brocante shopping, and the French community we are now a part of.

Apologies for the late video post. Sometimes we're just running behind! :)

You've mastered the art of Brocante filming, nice & slow, with good commentary. Some lovely things!

I agree, this was the best Brocante. It was truly spectacular. So many beautiful things. Thank you again for letting me tag along.

Thanks for sharing the brocante, what is it called btw?

You got some nice items, we really like the glass measuring jug. Lots of nice pictures in that place too, we are coming over next week and want to check it out.

Good Brocante and a lovely haul of stuff.
I always think those lovely tablecloths (which we dontreally use) could be repurposed into cushions/ pillows or if someone was really handy, clothes?
I saw Charolais on the metal medallions, which are a famous french breed of cows 😊

What a beautiful shop with unique and high-end pieces! Curious to know the price range on some of the fabulous furniture.

Think you are going to need a bigger house soon!

Your "egg basket" is in fact a "panier à salade" ("salad hamper" in English ?) used to drain the salad after washing it. You use it by shaking it violently, outside obviously....
Of course, you can use it to store eggs if you like.

Lots of nice stuff. Just an advice. Don't clean too thoroughly your casting. Part of it's charm and above all value is in its patina.

I am really interested to see the lifestyle you share with us but I’m sorry that I really struggle to follow as the camera zooms around so quickly. We get a glimpse of something interesting and then it’s gone, I’m getting travel sick! Thanks for sharing what you do.

By the way, did you ever end up buying the lot behind your property? I am enjoying your channel.

00:08:45 - You were looking at a 12€ set of napkins on the table and missed that it was a marble-top/cast base table like April said she wanted, or did you find one already? (Personally, design-wise, I think an enamel-top table would work better in your stone house kitchen and the bistro table can go outside or in the new conservatory 😉)

Apologies for all the questions (and thanks for answering them) but suppose you found a large, heavy table or the armoire you want (wanted, past tense?) for the kitchen. You clearly couldn't get it in your little rental car, so is delivery service common (for a fee, obviously, but is there a "standard"?) or would you need a friend/neighbor with a truck?
