Tras años de silencio discográfico, en concreto desde "Abysmal Thoughts" de 2019, resurge cuan ave fenix con esta canción, que se espera que forme parte de un próximo disco, aunque todavía no se ha anunciado. El propio Jonny Pierce ha comentado que "La canción nació del anhelo y el dolor que surgieron de una infancia sin amor. En los últimos años comencé realmente a comprender lo que me sucedió cuando era niño, lo que me ayudó a empezar a construir mi propio puente hacia el amor verdadero. Es toda una declaración en la que hablo de tomar todo lo que no me dieron de pequeño. Quiero la experiencia completa del ser humano, que incluye amor y conexión. Lo quiero todo". Con el estreno de "I Want It All", The Drums anuncia una gira por Estados Unidos y Canadá entre julio y agosto.
