When Mike Millard first played this for me back in 1969 and after recovering from a manic fit of laughter, I begged him for a copy of this audio. He obliged and I am delighted now to share it with you. The spoof was produced by the crew at WIOD and Mike plays some of the characters, including the very funny WQAM newscaster. Be sure to listen for the voice of the person that sounds like he is trying to say Les Smith. I was told that newsman Les Smith had almost perfect diction and could accurately enunciate even the most difficult foreign names of cities and people. His only downfall, so the spoof goes, was he could not pronounce his own name. For those who lived in south Florida during this time period and are familiar with the radio stations this may bring back some memories. A special thanks to Mike for sharing the laughter.
