In this series I’ll be exploring just how important football is to communities and fans. There are countless documentaries on premier league clubs and their mega-rich players.

But I want to show the other side. The real stories from fans, business owners and the communities that rely on football to survive.

In each episode I’ll be going to 4 or 5 restaurants or bars in the area, chatting to the owners about their journeys and what the football club means to them.

I eat a LOT of food, all from the most recommended places from my Instagram followers.

I'm more of a food fan than a football fan (rugby is my game), but I am really enjoying this series. You really effectively get across the senses of community and oneness at each place you visit! Rochdale has some underrated spots for food. There was Brisky's burgers which is top tier and also Harveys Fish and Chips.
