Rob's 'Ghost' Tudor Submariner is a terrifying Ghost Ship of patina gone horribly right, or wrong

This watch eats your light oxidisation for breakfast. Patina? Few watches can hold a rusty candle to this beast - it's Rob's vintage Tudor Submariner reference 7016, and it's the next instalment of Every Watch Tells A Story.

I like 2 doors as well. I have a BMW 323i and a Monaro

Is this Rob from the hit podcast Rob & The Regulator on Fifth Wrist Radio?

I'm always conflicted when people pronounce it "two-door" lol

Same thing here. Old 165.024 Omega Seamaster 300 from early 60s on wrist, with some parts replaced, but the 1963 dial, triple hesalyte bubble etc look absolutely stunning, far more attractive to me than any piece in the store today. Very similar to that Tudor or old 5513s. Rare stuff from the 60s. The real thing.

The "Tudor gap" between lugs and strap is pretty bad. Keeping it on a bracelet or using a nato strap is much better than having it on a leather strap.

Just looking at the dial is causing a tetanus infection in my eyes. This dial makes me puke.
