For years, I asked my mother to write me a letter I could receive after she passed.I asked her to tell me things about her childhood that she never told me before. Tell me all the things about your life that you want to pass on, or that maybe you couldn't tell me to my face. Tell me some secrets! And then, please tell me how you really felt about me...the day i was born, married, anything! I also asked her to write one to each of my siblings. I thought it was something we could cherish forever. Something we could pull out and read when we were missing her.

Awesome advice! Someday you won't have that option anymore. I can add one better, interview your parents on camera. Ask them big questions. One day you will cherish that interview!
