Different body types, different lengths of bones. Different genetics.
Everyone is different just stick to what works best for you.

Someone should explain to him that he's not doing it right...

The "bad" pronation is when the inside of your ankle rotates towards the ground instead of remaining perpendicular to the ground. This video is showing rotation of the foot about a different axis.

Every running store would be trying to upsell him orthotics for this.

Honestly it makes total sense if you think about which toes produce the greatest force output to help you run

Glad to know that when I watch videos of myself running, that I'm not doing it wrong! Notice that his feet land almost centered under his body, means it is easier to stay balanced. If they land straight down under your hips, then you are actually wobbling your center of mass from side to side.

It’s interesting that the best runners often have imperfect technique. Like Usain Bolt in the sprint events.

Pronation is when your ankles roll in or “collapse” when you walk/run doesn’t have to do with the heel. Pronation can be the cause of shin splints and inside knee injuries when running in some cases

The feet end up under the center of your body mass on each step. It is natural pronation for balance on one leg. Your leg has to bend inward to find center mass for balance. Try to stand on one leg without pronating.

Literally doesn’t matter, everyone’s different, find what’s comfortable to you and work. The body is incredibly adaptable and you’ll never see a bodybuilder using strict form when lifting weights or a marathon runner with the most scientifically perfect strike and foot landing each and every step. 😅
