The tall trombonist in short sleeves and vest is Paul Tanner, who passed away recently being the last survivor of the original Miller band. He is perhaps the only swing musician to make the transition from the Swing Era to Rock in the mid-60's....You can hear his work in the Beach Boy's masterpiece "Good Vibrations" playing the "Tannerin",   a new type of Theremin he invented.

"All for people like you and me..." Thank you to everyone who - like my dad - served this great nation in her, and our allies' greatest conflict. Best. Music. Ever.

This song ought to be made the American anthem, with Tex and Marion as mascots.

I just turned 69 years old on Jan 14, 2022 . Marion Hutton died on Jan 12, 1987 She was a great talent, but I am stunned as to what happened to her in the rest of the 1940's She was with Glenn Miller from 1938-1942, but Miller did not die until July 1944. How did they become disconnected. Was Miller playing music for that long of a period of time during the World War 2.I know Hutton played in one Abbott and Costello film, but that should not of had anything to do with here singing career. How did she die out?

I realize she had a major drinking problem and addiction to prescription drug in 1965, but her talent should have carried through the 1950's. I need a 90 year old person or somebody in the music industry that can explain why here career died so quickly. Marion will always be alive in my home along with Glenn Miller, Tex Benakee and Ray Eberle.
