For those who using blender 3.0 write :" Library Overrides " instead of " proxy "

UPDATED FOR 3.0 : Click on linked collection > Click on Object tab upper left corner > Relations > Make Library Override.
UPDATED FOR 4.0 : Right click on object u wish to override, select library override->make->selected

How do I make shape keys work? i have multiple shape keys for body, face, etc but i can't access them and making a proxy for each mesh doesn't work either, they are still blocked.

hey having a bit of an issue when i do the make prox it causes the characters torso to crumple in on itself the rest works as is but thats a real glaring issue

Maybe too quick. Need more info. Does this copy modifiers? If I have a soft body modifier can I then animate the proxy and re bake the soft body dynamics?

Hi @Markom3D. Thank you for sharing this video. When I "set proxy" for my "RigCharacter" I can select the rig, but everything is GREYED OUT. I know I have selected my rig bones, because the viewport shows the name of the current selection. Switching to shaded view yields no result. All the rig controls are grayed out. Where do I check to fix that? Thanks!
SOLVED (EDIT)
For everyone else experiencing this, go to the property panel of the RIG (running man icon) and go to VIEWPORT and click display "FRONT" checkbox. That will bring up your colors back again.

Thanks for the video! Do you have any advice on working with hair dynamics on the character rig? I'm having an issue with making the hair simulate correctly since it's coming over from the linked file onto my anim file.
