nice! i much prefer this style for quick coiling & throwing of a hand line..but not for sport..for utility work.

Even though this video is teaching a different technique than coiling, the coiling technique that was shown prior to the demonstration was awful. I keep the elbow of the hand I am collecting my coils in locked into my body and am very careful to make coils of the same length to prevent them tangling/bunching up while I prep to throw them. The key with any of these techniques is to practice them often. Pick the technique you are most comfortable with and perfect it.
