Big Mistake!!! Am I Fired?? Montana Harvest 2022

In today's video, I made a big mistake changing fields! I hope I am not getting fired! I'm trying to do things correctly as interim farm boss but I made a big mistake! Thankfully I was able to get Uncle Chris on the phone! Grandpa even drove over to try to help me figure out the correct field to be in. I think he could get to the field in his sleep he knows them so well! I was in one of our fields, but the wrong one!!! Thankfully I was not in a neighbor's field or I would probably get fired! LOL, I am the rookie in the family and I am honored my Dad left me in charge to make my own mistakes. I don't want to make any mistakes, but Dad said that is the only way I can learn and they have made lots of them over the last 100 years on our family farm. I made a lot of other mistakes today too! I'm glad Dad got the other combine repaired. We can't do any welding or major repairs around here or our entire farm would catch on fire because it is dry, hot, and windy. I am very glad to have a great crew like Darcy, Arvid, and Steve and I am slowly learning by making mistakes what it takes to run our Montana farm. I hope you enjoyed my video!! Thank you for watching!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag - Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.

Excellent video again Kate thanks, i think you did a good job of being the boss.As long as you learn from your mistakes there's no harm done, it's a massive thing your dad has done leaving you in charge you should be so proud of yourself glad the yield is slightly better, take care Kate and stay safe 👍 😊.

Ms. Kate, if you need help, call anyone of your viewers, and we will try to help you out. You did fine. If you have never been involved in that capacity before, relax, it is a learning experience. Trial and error. Be safe and see you next time. 👋

Congratulations Kate on 100K!! It's nice seeing a channel grow 100x+ since I subscribed. Don't worry about getting fired yet, I'm sure your family is waiting until the fields are done.... LOL :) We all make mistakes, we just need to learn from them. Also remember even if you are the "rookie", your new way of seeing things, might be the better way. As I get older, I see more and more of my techs teaching me better or other ways to do things. Us old folks get set in our way, and need to think outside of the box more. In a few years, you could be running an operation that's 20X bigger then today.

Catherine says HI She showed us her second diary which is devoted to good things. S he wants us to spend the night again. She still likes the violin.

Harvest has begun on our land. So far our dryland corn is 120 BPA and 14% moisture, about half a crop.
