Secretary Reich, A new day did dawn during the Clinton Administration. In my neck of the woods jobs were plentiful. Inflation was low, interest rates were manageable. I was a single working mom of 3 and by no means was I rich but I could pay my bills and feed my family. So you deserve a lot of credit. Thank you so much for everything you've done.

I'm inches away from retirement, but the only way that happens is with SS and Medicare. I've gone through the first phases of grief; shock for a week, denial for a few days, now anger. I think I'll be stuck in anger for an extended period. I'm angry at those who voted him in, and especially angry at those who couldn't be bothered to cast a vote. I can't believe we've invited this chaos back. It's time to fight back.

As a severely physically disabled, trans, autistic individual in forced poverty, without community or family, I rely 100% on government programs like SSDI, Medicaid, Section 8, and so on for my survival. Without them I have no money, no healthcare, no food, no housing. I will not survive without the safety net designed to catch people like me. I'm a wheelchair user, I spend most of my life bedbound and writhing in pain. I cannot work. I would love to but I cannot. It's hard to remain hopeful as the Oligarchy takes total control with a large side of Fascism.

However, you two do give me some hope and much comfort. Seeing old clips of Bob does indeed bring me joy. Thank you both for at least, helping me stay kinda calm as I wonder if I will make it to this time next year.
