Here we are 6 yrs later and Alonso is back in F1 with Aston Martin, competing for podiums with Red Bull's Max and Checo. He is clearly a TRUE RACER and we hope to see him back at the Indy 500 in the future.

I, like many, can't wait to see Fernando Alonso racing in the Indy 500. But, a big but, I'd like to see him come second behind his team mate and my local boy (I think you say hometown boy across the pond) Jack Harvey. Jack's home village is about 7 miles from where I live. I used to love watching his dad Paul racing in "autograss" racing over here. He was one of the best autograss racers in the country, driving in the most powerful class of hand built "class 10" cars in cars designed and built by himself. When I started following Jack's racing I was in no way surprised at how good he is. When his sponsorship in Indylights came to an end and he wasn't given a drive in Indycars on skill alone I can only say that I was well pissed off. So I am praying that, despite his time out, he can do really well in the "500" and one of the multi-millionaire team owners realise their mistake in not giving him a drive sooner and take him on full time. I might be a little bit biased but I believe that Jack Harvey has more natural talent in his right hand than some of the regular drivers have in their whole bodies. So, if you see this come on Jack. I'll be watching and cheering you on from my chair here in Lincoln from start to finish of the race. Good luck mate!
