Would you live in this Home inside a Pyramid Greenhouse?

House in a Pyramid Greenhouse is designed for a home located in a northern region where the owners can grow and cultivate produce year-round. It has a simple house with a flat roof that’s accessed by stairs on the first floor. The entire home is surrounded and covered by an anodized aluminum frame and laminated glass structure that creates a greenhouse meant for growing produce and enjoying temperate weather all year.

This 2200 square foot 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house has plenty of space for a family to enjoy time together in a large living room and lounge with a shared fireplace. There’s also a kitchen with large sliding glass doors that opens into the greenhouse where there’s a dining area and lounge. I have a similar vision as well. With mine, it’ll be a dome shape greenhouse with a L shape tiny house built for one inside. The reason why I’m opting for the dome shape, is because i’ve heard it can withstand tornadoes. I will have a hottub in the greenhouse part amongst the plants. Your well thought out plans for how the structure would function in catching water etc..is the missing part to my vision. The is such a beautiful design. I’ve watched this video multiple times. Hi Tim, Much better description of the greenhouse on this version than the last one to proactively address many of the comments. Given the size and that it's a bespoke greenhouse, my guesstimate is even as a fully polycarbonate and steel frame with aluminum battens, the greenhouse alone is $200-$300k. Love your renderings. What software do you use?

Have you considered acrylic (e.g. Perspex) rather than polycarbonate? It's commonly used in pergolas, and has some properties that give it advantages, particularly for optically clear roofing systems.

Great house Tim. Love it. What about including a double garage area that is inside the greenhouse, opening obviously to the outside. This would mean no need for heating the garage ( beyond the geothermal already installed)so big energy savings in a northern climate. Kate

Can you design similar concept but a dome because a dome have better structure handling the outside elements and temperature distribution inside.
