I waited until I was 36 to marry. I did the research. I had the list. He checked all the boxes. He was handsome. He was a professor & a therapist & sang in the church choir. I never had the butterflies, but he seemed so taken with me & treated me like a princess, I figured the emotions would come. The ink was not dry on the license & he did a complete 180. He was a monster. I left 3 times & went back twice. I stayed married to him 26 years because I couldn’t admit God never told me to marry him. I told myself & everyone else that I had heard from God. My point is: be glad you ended the relationship once you knew it was a bad decision ❤
