Chadwell O’Connor, Johnson and Eleanor’s son, was my former father in law. I was with them on several occasions. I was visiting at the Chadwell O’Connor home on the day Chadwell O’Connor received the telephone call informing him that both his parents, Johnson and Eleanor O’Connor had died in Mexico. They died at the same time, in the same hotel room, reportedly of dysentery. They were quite old, and appeared frail to me the last time I saw them. So, the reported cause of death didn’t surprise me. I liked them both, and especially enjoyed my conversations with Johnson.
