Escape with me for a day in a cozy family cabin, as we cook up a day of summer meals. Its also my daughters birthday! So I'm sharing my favorite vanilla cake recipe. And hang in there till the very end. I have a special music treat for you!

Recipes for today: (feel free to half some of these recipes)
French Crepes:
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups flour
2 TBS butter melted
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp salt
combine in blender
Berry Sauce:
2 cups June berries
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 TBL lemon juce
1 tsp vanilla
Vanilla Birthday Cake:
Mix in mixer
2 1/4 cups cake flour ( i used all purpose)
1 3/4 sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
In separate bowl mix
1 cup of whole milk
6 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
Add to flour mix 12 TBL butter cubed, until crumbly.
Slow add milk mixture. Beat until batter becomes fluffy. About 2 minutes. Add parchment to 9 inch baking pans and butter. Bake at 350 in 9 inch round pans for 22 to 26 minutes.
Thai curry:
2 cans coconut milk
1/4 cup or 2 TBL curry paste
2 TBL fish oil
2 TBL sugar
2 TBL lime juice
handful of basil or cilantro
veggies of choice and meat thinly sliced of choice
