For people who aren't able to understand difference between input tax and ITC, try to make a diagram kinda thing to make thing crear. Example ipt is 8000 and opt is 10000 so 10000-8000 will be GST payable according to formula matlab we have to pay 2000 rs to government. Ye 2000 rs is our profit. As the ipt and opt should be equal we have to give the profit as GST to the government and this GST we pay to the government is called GST payable. ITC is actually just the process of finding out the GST payable I guess And I think ITC is just input tax ki ammount.

GST payable = output tax - input tax
