Congratulations on the engagement. There is nothing like a good woman that also understands your hobbies "obsessions" are also a nessesity in life. My wife knows that yeah wed and sat I hunt, and maybe another afternoon but the sun goes down at 545 and I'm 15 min with cleanup to the house from the many fields around my house, yeah I moved to the hunting area. My question is this I really like your channel cause your down to earth and I see a lot of past experience in things you do, I'd love to see hunts but also the stories of sitting in the blind when you were knee high to a grasshopper like I did and saw an entire different generation and the processes they went through hunting those stories are gold and give us reference points on tradition in different areas and practices we don't understand sometimes. As for duck recipes, I soak ducks for three days, in brown sugar, pink salt, alcohol, fruit, and a sauce add water till submerged. Then I take it out and pack it full of butter and roast in an oven roasting bag till done, then I freeze them and when you want to eat them I take them out and the at room temperature and deep fry them till the skin is crispy. That's a basic understanding of the process. This year I hope to work out geese recipe's. I want to do a corned goose Shepards pie for saint patties day. So if you got a great corned goose recipe you could also do a video on that.

I bought my Mossberg 930 for about $400 and it has performed very well for two seasons now. No issues at all and I hunt at least once a week for the duration of the season here in the Pacific NW.

If you plan on doing any upland hunting, you may consider a pointing lab. That is what I have and he has been incredible!

Advice for buying a lab! Make sure you pick a puppy with a decent pedigree (i know that a good dog doesn’t have to have a good pedigree), OFA hips and elbows done, tested for EIC, PRA, and CNM. A lot of people buy dogs from litters that aren’t tested and sometimes end up getting an unhealthy dog. Good luck your gonna love having a pup beside you!
