Audi announced at the 2018 Audi Brand Summit in Shenzhen, China, that the Aicon would be available for purchase by 2021, with a range of 700 to 800 kilometers per full charge.

The Aicon is roughly the same length as a modern Audi A8L, measuring more than five meters. This is because you'll need as much space inside this car's steering wheel as possible, as it is liberated and self-sufficient
The 26-inch wheels, on the other hand, are purely conceptual. Audi's front and rear lights, dubbed "swarm lighting," are something the company has been working on for a while and hopes to put into production.
Lighting will dominate the front and back ends of the Audi Aicon. This could be incorporated especially since self-driving cars will need to do more than simply light the route and indicate; they will also need to converse with pedestrians. Audi's lights, which function akin to a digital display board, can be programmed to make a variety of expressions and send a variety of messages. It was first seen at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.

The closed wheels are intended to improve the vehicle's aerodynamics. Because the vehicle is electric and self-driving, large brake discs are not required. As a result, Audi has installed them further inboard, claiming that they will not be as hot, requiring the opening of the wheel to allow air to cool the brakes.

Despite its deviations from the norm, the Aicon retains a car-like appearance. It's not the most beautiful Audi, but it's also not a box on wheels. The overall exterior design is reminiscent of the Mercedes F015 concept, which also hinted at an autonomous, electrified future.
Nonetheless, due to the lack of a steering wheel and pedals, it is necessary to remain inside. It is suspected that a tap of an app will summon this car to pick you up and transport you to your next destination, with the promise that it will appear on Chinese urban roads by 2021.

Yes I'm also excited about this because since I am blind and what I I can just use that to get around the town very nicely and I wouldn't have to worry about the bus or a Link light rail train I could just get in the car tell pia where to go and that's it. I can't wait to see this car at the Seattle international Auto show in November! It has no steering wheel or petals so that makes it very easy for me to just actually tell the car where to go and I would just let the car do the driving since I can't drive! As a matter of fact isn't it supposed to be hitting the road in 2023 or 2024 across the United States of America?
