True King Dinosaur Deck Profile (May 2017) Post-Maximum Crisis!

Now that Maximum Crisis is legal, True King Dinos are one of the top decks, and here's a solid starting point for anybody looking to try them

True King Dinos are projected to be a top 3 deck of MACR format along with True Dracos and Zoodiacs, but what sets True King Dinosaurs apart from the others is this decks uncanny ability to OTK opponents and put massive amounts of damage on board.

Cards like Ultimate Conductor Tyranno and Oviraptor, which searches Tyranno, make clearing boards easy, and when you combine that with monsters like Lithosagym and your other True King monsters, it's easy. However, this deck does a lot more than OTK opponents, you can also set up strong boards with True King of All Calamities, Laggia, Dolkka, Drident, and even UTC himself. There are various defensive options.

Card Advantage is where this deck suffers the most, in terms of resource management, because Diagram and True Kings both require cards to destroy in order to use. Dinos make up for by having monsters that are good in simplified gamestates such as UTC. UTC solves a lot of problems tbh, it's insane.

Another reason I think this deck is that it has relatively good matchups across the board. Against True Dracos, having a searchable Kaiju in the main deck helps a lot, and then Laggia negating normal summons is also huge. Against Zoodiacs, Miccelaeousaurus and UTC are difficult to deal with, and then they have a lot of trouble playing through Calamities too.

One problem that this deck can have though is running out of steam late game, especially after running out of Miccellanousarus and Oviraptors. and while UTC solves this issue, if opponents have an answer for it, it can end the game immediately. Resource Management is crucial for a Dino player's success. You have to manage the resources in your hand, field, graveyard, and deck, and as soon as any of them run out, winning the game becomes far more difficult.

Hey Toptier what is your thoughts on the True King varient that goes into tzolkin via deng long and a True King. You search out the 9 pillars via deng long, summon tzolkin, special summon zefraniu, set 9 pillers and then go into Crystal Wing? I feel VFD is better but would this be a option?
