Don't understand how 3y=9. I am not good in math and trying to learn this. Putting all steps for the lay person to see would work better. Keeping all parts of the problem on the white board, so "visual learners" can see how you get what you get would help. Thanks!

pass over the 4 over to 5. so that makes 9 and then y +2y=3
