Poppins can say or suggest what he wants...But the execution depends on the talent . The offense sucked last yr because we had 5 AA players getting regulat at bats.

At the end of the day it's the players who need to get it done, coaches can be in their ears all they want but a team with a good record usually has a level of talent to match it. Jays (if fully healthy) are at worst a .500 team and at best a Wild Card team

Sadly this team isn't finishing any higher than 4th, misses the playoffs and loses Vlad. Hopefully they prove me wrong on all fronts.

The manager is the biggest problem. 30 one run losses is the main reason we lose most close games because of poor managing of team bringing in wrong pitchers at wrong times, leaving in starter too long when they are struggling this team simply has no fundamentals!!!! NEVER do little things to win games no bunting no hit and run no stealing bases no hitting sacrifice flys is why we continue to fail

As with any new hire, there should not be overreach insofar as prognostications of Jays' hitting is concerned. Remember how the so-called pundits were waxing eloquently about the entry of Don Mattingly into the fold. New player personnel are not an automatic panacea to cure all Jays' ills and ultimately it will depend on the players themselves to execute. Time will tell.
