We are on the River Thames with owner Martin Goodrich on his fantastic 38 ft Gaff rigged yawl from 1910. We had sunshine and piles of enthusiasm from skipper and crew but little wind as we pottered about on this world famous river. A big thanks for Tim and crew for getting the photo boat in the right positions for the day. Also a thanks for the Greenwich Yacht Club. As always copyright Bob Aylott at My Classic Boat. Down to earth skipper, no frills craft steeped in history, what could be better?! . Thanks for this very interesting vid also its great to see such a craft with a back drop of 21st century buildings.

Great video. Good balance between the skipper, the history and the juxtapositioning of old and new on the river. Thanks.

I really enjoy these old ships. The wood vessel seems so cozy, though I don't care much for that galley head combo much.

There is such a wide range of classic yachts that are still around and their stories, as well as their caretaker's stories are truly amazing to hear. Thank you so much for sharing these stories. What is the song played in the introduction of most of your videos?

What a nice chap, and the boats not too bad either. 35k needed to purchase and another 35k to maintain her over say 10 years or so, i do hope she finds a new owner who keeps her in good shape.

What marinade do you like for dog BBQ? They are very popular in Laos.

How come everyone on this channel uses Imperial instead of metric, is it some sort of traditional boat thing?

We watch this to see the boats so take your idiot wide angle/fish eye lens and throw it in the water. It distorts everything we want to see.
