The PS5 Hacking Situation Is Getting Wild

It's been less than a year since the PS5 was officially opened up to the modding community and now it looks like things games are getting some pretty big upgrades.

Kinda reminds me of when the 3DS hackers realized that the 3DS can pretty much play all GBA games natively, but Nintendo just never bothered to do anything with it. Sometimes these companies are just asking for it with their lazyness.

90fps is sorely overlooked for single player content in terms of input lag and fluidity. We don’t need to go from 60 to 120.

You know, these things are probably what developers have been doing and selling us PS5 'refined' re-releases for $70.
This whole jail breaking situation reminds me of what happened back in the PS3 days.

The Red Dead Redemption is available on Xbox via BC and it’s in 4K on Series X. It is also cheaper at normally 29.99$ with a discount of 75% quite often, the new ports will cost 49.99$.

RDR2 is heartbreaking in its own right as a "live service game". Not only does it seem like Rockstar literally doesn't care about their classics, but it seems like if its not making them microtransaction dollars consistently enough, they will just drop support for it. RDR2 and RDO were left hanging last year officially all to move resources to the publicly nonexistent GTA6 but also GTAO. So the fact their "remaster" or rerelease of RDR1 being lackluster is further proof that Rockstar just isn't interested in what fans of their other games want, because GTAO is such a money maker, i guess.

I miss being able to boot Linux on the PS3 and use it as a PC. It was more of a feature than a hack at the time

Gravity Rush 2 is such a fantastic game. Shame that it didn‘t get a 60fps patch on the PS5

Why wouldn’t people think the PS5 couldn’t handle it? There was a home brew patch for the PS4 that ran Red Dead Redemption 2 at 60fps….

It just shows how Sony and these video game companies have the easy ability to patch old games and add 60Hz to old titles but don’t because they want to call that patch a rerelease and charge for it so you are forced to buy game again. It’s all about money for them and how they can monetize everything and screw us. If I buy a game once I should have all the future enhancements included.

The levels that PS5 has been currently exploited to is astounding, PS4 games patched to run at 60 fps, PS4 pkgs runnning from the PS5 if you have a license for the game and soon inevitably running PS4 Fake pkgs ( and maybe running PS5 Fake pkgs ) on the PS5. So much more pogress in exploiting the PS5 is imminent and this progress ( many Kudos to all who have contributed to the current PS5 exploit progress ! ) is all without even exploiting the PS5's Hypervisor ! 👏

a few years ago rockstar implemented trophies for 20 year ols ps2 games (red dead revolver, manhunt, bully etc)

nowadays they cant even do a framerate unklocking patch, wtf happened?

My PS5 has been hacked and stolen from me (sign in e-mail address changed) for the 4th time in the past 6 weeks this morning. Of course I can't call support because they are closed on the weekends but as soon as I recover my account I am deleting it and selling this piece of s$#!....believe that. I have been a loyal PlayStation customer for years, no more. They should be paying me back for this console.

If they can make a PS3 emulator that runs on the PS5 I would be incredibly keen to hack mine. I'd just dump my entire PS3 library and sell my PS3
