I do like Ace Hardware. I can honestly say I prefer shopping at Ace more than I do at larger hardware stores such as Lowe's or Home Depot.

This ad appeared after a video I was watching. I wasn't paying attention at first but caught a glimpse and went "that looks like the Ace hardware that's up the street from where I live". Turns out it is.
I can absolutely attest to everything great about this Ace Hardware that appeared in this video. Their candy isle is absolutely great and the fudge (while expensive) is to die for. The only downside I have to say is I cannot get them to stock Sqwincher. Sqwincher is like the best Kool-Aid you've ever had and it used to be stocked at specialty materials and supply shops that have now closed down and now I cannot find it anywhere.

I was very surprised to see this video. I remember a few years ago looking for a specific spring to fix my recliner. It was a specific size in order to ensure it reclined property. I looked everywhere but couldn't find what I needed. I decided to stop in there as I was driving by. To my surprise they had the spring I needed. Not only that but they had an assortment of springs. Great store!!

After listening to this entire video, I was very surprised to find that I also grew up near the stores where his father and and grandfather had their early stores. Before moving to the Tucson area back in 1976, I went to high school at Dundee High School. This was just a little over 30 minutes or so from Downers Grove. In fact we went to Downers Grove a lot. I went bowling in Algonquin which is even closer. I'm sure we frequented those Ace Hardwares at least a time or two. My father was huge into home improvement back then so we were constantly working on the house.
