DDR4 Price Drop

I recently got 128GB of DDR4 3600MHz for $350 paired with a 13900k and a 4080. I refuse to adopt DDR5 until they fix the unnecessary hiccups they created in the name of "Efficiency" and try to be new for the sake of being new. It was disgustingly rushed to be adopted by consumers. We should've waited.

Quad DIMM is a joke with DDR5, and 128GB isn't officially supported on almost every QVL. I need stability since my rig stays on for weeks at a time, DDR4 has been proven to work really well for long-running systems. I hope it keeps getting better as prices drop and we perfect the mfg process like with DDR3.

Edit: I work as a semiconductor manufacturer for a company that refuses to adopt new technology unless forced, so it could be a bad habit, but I call it safe.

I just bumped up my RAM from 8 GB to 40 a few weeks ago. The newest PC game I have is _Fallout 4, _ so I'm in no rush to bump it up even further.

16Gb is just fine for a 1080p gaming PC but for high end 1440p to 4K PC then 32Gb of ram is the future also 16Gb min for high end GPUs

Mostly why I play console instead of on my pc. games sold on console have to be made to run well specifically on there since it can’t really be upgraded, so there’s no need to upgrade ram or other parts

People used to tell me no need big ram for working because it wont effect speed much. i only have 32gb, now im crying everyday because i crash every time if i open chrome spotify discord premiere and after effect at the same time.. always a crash.. the best performance only if i use chrome and premiere and after effect nly!! I wanna listen to music or have a chat while working!!!!

Well pc’s getting better also means graphics and other game details can improve. As well as so many other different things that require the hardware to be utilized, like video editing..
