This is a great theory, and I did think about this after rewatching bfdia 14. However, I watched Cary's reaction to bfdia 14 and I think he said something about how 'it was a joke to scare the audience' or something

We saw Evil Leafy at the end of BFDIA 14, and I think she is up to something.

A good theory but I have a few ways on how this can be proven false
1.)The Plank: She pulled the plank off so she could crawl through since she’s thin like that
2.) Bragging: Book is not the type to brag, and if she is she probably didn’t say it because she was still partially petrified
3. Evil Leafy Possession: Evil Leafy can only possess someone when they either give up on running or paralyze which is why she didn’t get pencil yet.
4.) Book Being Possessed: When possessed evil leafy will have vines(?) grow from behind her which would make the character paralyzed But we see book come from out the boat.
