I love this fx-CG50 calculator.

I don't like the huge screen ones (i.e. fx-CP400) because:

1. Large screens consume much more battery.
2. There's little space left for essential physical keys (small keyboard).
3. Very few keys mean more difficult interface and more time consuming for using the functions you need.
4. As the screen is so large and there are very few keys, you need to use a dedicated pencil for the touch-screen, what results in both: being forced to leave on your table your writing pen to hold the calculator's plastic one every time you have to enter data again (with a conventional large keyboard calculator like the fx-CG50 you can still keep holding your writing pen whilst entering data by your fingers, making the process far more quicker, pleasant, convenient and practical) and the risk of losing the dedicated pen.
5. After some time the large screen gets scratched by constant use of the dedicated pen.
6. There's risk of damaging touch-screens by pressing too much and in fact they are more prone to break as they are far more sensible.
7. It's far more pleasant to use a physical keyboard rather than touch-screen, aside of bearing in mind that by pressing a physical key you are 100% sure that your input has been entered, unlike with touch-screens where you need to give enough pressure and confirm constantly by looking to the screen that your values have been entered.

In summary, all I see on large screen / small keyboard calculators are drawbacks and therefore advantages on the conventional smaller screen / large keyboard ones (i.e. fx-CG50).

How did you get it in a box while everyone else got a blister case that only opens when you blow up a gasket. LOL

can buttons get washed out, like on fx991es plus
number pad is engraved but function buttons(upper) like sin, cos, tan are just printed on and can be rubbed off with time
How is this handled on cg50?

Casio has better packaging for their scientific calculators than the graphical calculator which cost like more than 10 times than scientific one...
