Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park, Prince Edward County

This is a very small park but so interesting and beautiful to see. From the parking lot there is a lovely lookout over Lake Ontario 60m below, and across the street is a large lake at this high elevation.

It is grass to the fence for the lookout, and the lake lookout across the street is accessible with a ramp.

This is not a usual provincial park. There is no gate, but there is a sign that explains how to pay for parking with your phone. There is a building with washrooms and there are signs that describe the geology of the area.

If you are collecting stickers or badges of Ontario provincial parks, you won't be able to buy one here. I got mine for this park when I was at Sandbanks provincial park about 25 minutes away or you can order from the Ontario Parks website.

Very nice lookout over the lake. I really thought it was helpful how you showed the location on the map and then covered what the park had to offer. If I was local, I'd stop a park like that.

Love the old truck at the inn 😊 I have never been to this spot, I have been to Prince Edward County a thousand times but never here.
