My sense of humour might be broken but I find your "I don't care what it says in your holy book" bit ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS and I chuckle every time

I realized that pretty much every argument by theists boils down to "I refuse to accept any evidence that you are right, and you can't prove I'm wrong, so I must be right by default!"

The idea of God reminds me of that old limerick:
*As I was going down the stair, *
*I met a man who wasn't there.*
*He wasn't there again today.*
*I wish to hell, he'd go away !*

the origins of the universe & of life is so fascinating. how boring to think that “god did it” is the ultimate answer to everything.

My God is the REAL God, it DOES exist and it created HIS God to test people. I have a 30, 000 year old book that says so... but only I can see it.

I'm glad that you believe Australia exists. As I live here, I was about to have an existential crisis.

The "God is a spirit" argument for why you can't see him reminds me a bit of the "girlfriend in Canada" excuse/joke.

So happy I got all the religious plantation, absolutely no regrets. I live my life to the fullest. I don't believe in a concept of Heaven or Hell. I know that life is not a video game so I'm not going to get a do-over. So I make the most of it, my life that is.

Children's pastor: There's a bearded guy in the sky
That's why the tower of Babel was built because they want to be up there with him
Logical child : and now there are airplanes and a space station above the clouds in space.
Children's pastor: you're taking it out of context.

There's a study comparing Western near-death experiences and Japanese NDEs. They noticed a few commonalities, but a stark difference in the individual's interpretation of what they saw

I have to say, for me, if I had been in the audience when he claimed to be atheist and then revealed that he's an apologist would have completely invalidated everything he just said, because he was starting from a deception.

Oh man, just imagine an atheist pulling that stunt with students. Christians would be howling about it for years to come.

I love your comments on moral law, wish I had it in transcript form. I too don’t think there is any such thing as objective moral law, and I think atheist debaters waste time and allow theists to take them down the “killing babies for fun” rabbit hole rather than just stating the obvious - moral law is a function of time, location, and culture (and the electoral college and filibuster rule, apparently).

The next time I see a reasonable argument for the existence of any god, it will be the first time.

He makes the claim that his God can't be seen, yet there are several places in the Bible where God is not only seen, but interacts with, and is identified by humans.
Also, is he stating his God is invisible, or intangible? If he is invisible, he can be detected by other means. If he is intangible, what reason do we have to think that he is real?
Like with that video where he falsely claims to be an atheist, I see no reason to trust anything that Sean says.

I actually watched that professors entire lecture claiming he was an atheists and he made some great arguments for it! He’s far more convincing as a fake atheist than an apologist.

I appreciate some apologists for being reasonable to a degree and accepting of proper logic, but you can't really achieve that goal of truth if you're forbidden to accept harsh realities if you only wanna make-believe and defend in something else that is probably not really true. Quite damning of Sean too as he is also the same guy who quite strawmaned atheists in an apologetics school. My goal is to demonstrate reason and knowledge that is objectively verifiable regardless of one's stoic faith, and apologists won't commit to that, making them not for the job when it comes to truth. Thank you as always Professor Plink!

from sean's mouth when he reveals he's an apologist, "this is what i do." deceiving people. yes sean that is what you do.

He starts off by breaking a commandment, not bearing false witness (lying) when he claims to be an atheist. So much for being a Christian if he thinks it's ok to break his Gods rules to try and make a point
