Libraries are so often underrated. Ours has so much free programming, puzzles, Leap Frog learning readers electronic thingers, I don't even know what else anymore. My town isn't really that big. We used to have a toy library! It sadly no longer exists (it was run by volunteers), but that was the BEST when my big kids were small!

When I was taking Anatomy and Physiology in college I was able to check out an anatomically correct skull and use the deconstructed skeleton for studying in the library

There’s often a seed swap, embroidery machines, laser printing, 3D printer use, badge-makers, classes of all kinds like you described — probably many other things I don’t know about yet too!

At my local library, you can borrow American Girl dolls for a week!

Life jackets! Really good for renting a cottage with boating options

we can get seeds, bookmarks, painting, classes, workshops, and they offer competitions where you can win great prizes
edit: we also have free computers to use, educational games, puppets, rooms where you can hold conferences, chess games, puzzles, etc. it’s so underrated!

I am a teacher and at the University where i did my training, they had story sacks at the library. Big santa style sacks that were themed for different stories and had lots of different toys to help tell the story and be used for activities relating to it. It's very cute to tell a story with themed toys! They also had other big items you could borrow for educational purposes, one i remember was a whole mini chinese dragon (mini but probably still the length of a person at least).

At my library we have those old VHS tapes. And we have books comic books text books movie on CD music on CDs and they have a calendar with stuff to do at the library like every 1st Tuesday of the month my library has a ukulele club (class if you want to play with others and learn how) they have book club movie night I even got a garden kit to grow lettuce at home in my raised garden bed. We even have arts and crafts and knitting and crocheting group chess and more

At my library on Thursdays you can play video games/vr for free and also free chips & capri sun :D

Pffft libraries in Poland have adult books, children's books, early 2000s PCs and maybe movies if you're lucky
