"Every Day Is Halloween" is a song by American band Ministry, both written and produced by Al Jourgensen.

Lyrics:

Well, I live with snakes and lizards
And other things that go bump in the night
'Cause to me everyday is Halloween
I have given up hiding and started to fight

I have started to fight

Well anytime, any place, anywhere that I go
All the people seem to stop and stare
They say, "Why are you dressed like it's Halloween?
You look so absurd, you look so obscene!"

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world

Well, I let their teeny minds think
That they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
And I dress this way just to keep them at bay
'Cause Halloween is everyday, hey

It's everyday, hey

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world

Oh, why can't I live a life for me?
Why should I take the abuse that's served?
Why can't they see they're just like me?
I'm not the one that's so absurd
(Why can't I live a life for me? Oh) Why hide it? Why fight it?
(No! Why should I?) Hurt feelings, best to stop feeling hurt
From denials (oh), reprisals
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide world

It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide
It's the same, it's the same in the whole wide
Oh, it's the same, it's the same in the whole wide

Man, I LOVE the early-mid 80's sound of Ministry.

I can't wait to see Ministry next month in Seattle. Some of the set list that's being played on this tour. Hasn't been played live in over 40 years.

If your Goth then you get it.... !!!! "Every Day is Halloween" is emblematic of how people react to anything different than themselves. I loved watching Al Jourgensen redo this song, after over 40 years of absolutely hating this song, but the Goth Underground Subculture gave him complete confidence to relook at the brilliance he'd achieved. Jourgensen expressed how he regretted using a false British accent, but we Goth's accept him for who he is ― The absolute brilliance of Ministry; plus, his extended career spanning all the way back to the Revolting Cocks, Special Effect, Pailhead, and a personal favorite of mine with Acid Horse.

Children of The Night: "Ah... The children of the night, what sweet music they make..."

You've made me recall the vast memory of thoughts and emotions, which simply exude out of myself, over a lifetime of Goth inspired dreams.

I have loved this song soooo much ever since I first heard it. Back in the 80s and into the 90s, I felt like it was my personal soundtrack theme song.

I think Prince had a part to play in this 🎵 song. Hear a little bit of Prince instrumental riffs. Prince helped out with Everyday Is Halloween!

GIGANTO (singing to Mazu): Where are you going with that look? I've got your pocketbook. I've got everything. I did a crazy thing one night. I got into a fight. It was on Halloween.
