One of the all-time greats. Sucks he retired so early.

Remember that Austin never would've had that promo or won KOTR if the Curtain Call never happened and Triple H won instead like he was supposed to. But since the Curtain Call happened and because Nash and Hall were out the door and Shawn was basically bulletproof, Triple H got punished, the KOTR win went to Austin and he cut that promo that led to him becoming one of, if not, the biggest stars in wrestling history.

Will never be an era better than the attitude era.

There’s the story about how he was at the airport and the church group was there wearing his 3:16 shirts. And, he was like “I’d thought you’d all hate me for that”, and they were like “nah, we love it, man” lol.

As iconic as Austin 316, that would NEVER happen today. Vince would lose his mind if a wrestler ad libbed without his consent.

The fact that both Austin 3:16 and "and that's the bottom line..." were adlibbed is amazing

I still have my shirt from 5th grade. Back then guys at the shirt store kept growing the legend by saying Austin wrestled in a match that was 3hrs 16minutes long. So legendary.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is a legend. Not only is he one of the 🐐’s if not the 🐐, but he’s also super well versed on the industry and communicates how it works to the common folk well. His videos explaining his career and the industry are awesome to watch.

The Austin 3:16 tshirt and the nwo shirts made everyone involved millions, and are completely unrivalled in merch sales. The lesson is people want something that clearly shows who they are but doesn’t insist upon itself. Simple name and everyone knew but you could wear it anywhere.

It revived wwe as the place for wrestling entertainment. He put the substance in the promo like flair did in the 80s! The shock of mankind and the theatrical from undertaker, wwe needed Austin. 92 and the lost of hogan, warrior, the misuse of diesel and flair the product was bad. He saved the entire world and help bring in rock and even Kurt angle! Great time to be a fan!

You can argue that event (that wasn't even planned) lead to the Attitude Era which saved the WWF.
