Ansmann Virus 2.0 First Start - Tank 1

Here is the First start of the Ansmann Virus 2.0. Engine would of fired up very easily if it hadn't of been for a very messed up tuning settings both on HSN and LSN. After adjustment it started up easily and sang through 1 tank which took nearly an hour much to my surprise. Thanks for the video, just got the virus. Was trying for ages to start it with no joy. As this is the first nitro buggy my son has had was starting to get very cheesed off. Watched the video and had it started in under five mins.

Heat guns can be used to pre-heat the engine mate if it's cold. I'll try to do clutch change video

Hi josh my hpi engine witch is very similar to that ansmann one spits unburnt Fuel all the time and it drinks fuel like there is not tomorrow i have tuned it to perfection and it still wont stop i think it is just a thing that these engines do.

@mrfishin101 I don't use the Laser. I use the temp. sensor which is much more accurate

i just noticed you installed a brand new glow plug, thats hy it's doin that.
i put 2 drops of nitro before i tighten my new plugs..it helps

first thing i do when i get a new glow engine, is seal it with silicone and check the needles and prime& pre heat before you start

Read the title annotations please, the engine didn't start because of bad tuning setup. I know how to start R/C Cars, and what your trying to explain is "Priming". J

that is oil spitting out of your exhaust and its suppost to run rich on fuel on the first start like that so everything is getting well lubricated

Im thinking of buying this car from model sport UK. But in the features of the car it does not include a battery pack for the throttle and steering servos and plus were do you put the battery pack any way, i cant see were to put it in the close ups of your car. can you help me. (Im abit new to nitro I only race Brushless)

i miss the nitroness. i still have 3 of the lil suckers. 1 touring car, 1 MT, and a stadium truck. now i want to add a 1/8 buggy, i must be mad!

so what happens if i run a short amount of fuel line to the carb rather than a long amount to increase the amount of run time?

What should the temperature of this nitro engine on first start, whilst it is singing?

It's a prolux easy glow igniter. RC-M

It won't necessarily increase run times mate

Possibly the wheel hubs have snapped, axels etc. Check mate. there's not much to go wrong in that part of the cars.

I got high temps breaking in a hyper 7 21 aswell. Meh, now it runs awesome at 210 F. Must have been the compression haha I got blisters starting it.

I heat first the engine with that thing you dry your hair (i am dutch, in holland we call it a fhön (feun)) do you do it to?
