There's a figure in Mexican history named Malinche, an indigenous woman who served as the translator for the conquistador, Hernan Cortés. She is credited with the dubious honor of handing over México to the Spanish. When Cortés was done with her, it is said that he left her. Omarosa reminds me of Malinche, but even more treacherous. One could argue that Malinche betrayed Mexico for love, but Omarosa is a mercenary through and through.

Unless I'm blind, someone squeezed Roland's hand very nicely and told him to calm down...his tone has done a major switch up and that's all I'll say. Everyone reading this have a blessed day!

Omarosa is a poor representative for her people (in my opinion).

I think it's funny that so many comments on here revolve around what someone's not doing for or don't like Black folks...educate yourself, get the wind behind your back and go for it...stop whinning about what any politician isnt doing...

All of them look, and sound exquisite, BUT they need to do much more than that. They need to do the actual work of the people...specifically the BLACK people, not the bourgeoise, OR the boule'. They need to roll up their sleeves, stop the talk, and get to work. And Omarosa...she IS NOT, in any way, beneficial to the Black community, or the Black struggle. She's deeply in Trump's pocket, and profoundly self-serving.

Okay... I feel that the CBC should have met with Trump. I also felt the same way about the leaders of HBCUs--and look what that got them... But, I sure did not feel this way when those Black Clergy people met with him! MMPH! I wonder why I feel that way? Anyway, kudos to Ms. Peoples for pointing out to the "Steppin' Fetchit" brother that Trump shouldn't be given credit where it isn't due! Also, I would think that as professionals, the CBC would have sent their material to the White House a day before the meeting so that representatives could have been somewhat prepared and ready to talk. Meetings are great but they mean nothing if they're not followed up by actions.

We need to break this chain of begging and pull our crumbs together and be self reliant. We spent 1 trillion dollars on useless material. BE INDEPENDENT

I hope this meeting includes an increase in wealth transfers for African Americans, such as structured reparations based programs and a updated Affirmative Actions program.

Who are these 78 million people he is talking about? There are approximately 42 million Black folks in America.

I hope that their representation will allow for the voice of blacks to be heard. Our agenda has to be on the table as well, since we are the American People.

He doesn't give a hoot about anyone but himself. Just as Dr. Frances Cress Welshing said, "Black people, don't you get it."
