That’s how game development SHOULD be. GameFreak constantly pump out new games without the time to properly polish their games or scrap content that should have been in the game to begin with. I mean Pokemon is a master at making likable characters, cool designed monsters, and fantastic music soundtracks which pretty much carried most of the lackluster stuff like graphics or Animation so now having the time to improve on the stuff that could really improve the experience. Granted doesn’t confirm that ZA will be a good game but it’s a step in the right direction.

Definitely was a good thing so that the people behind these games aren’t rushed and are allowed time to give us a great product. Like it only makes my excitement for legends ZA even bigger.

I think the only reason why we didn’t get many news this year is to allow the anime time to catch up. I’m sure Horizons will end by the time they announce Gen10.

I think its wild how everyone has switched up.
We went from complaining about wondering when the next game will come out, to hoping that the next game takes its time coming out to celebrating and pointing out we didnt have a game in between.

It feels weird to see so many content creators celebrating this. Back during the early 3ds days and before that content creators, especially those who didn't interact with fan made content would complain a lot whenever we had content droughts for official pokemon content that they could make vids with.

My 2025 predictions

Switch 2 will be announced in January(possible the 8th) so that Z-A can be teased for Switch 2 on Pokémon day.

Switch 2 will release with Z-A as a launch title with a special Z-A edition console in the first quarter of 2025

I’m so hyped for ZA. I would rather gamefreak do what the Zelda team did with totk. They delayed totk multiple times but made it into an absolute masterpiece. I hope gamefreak takes their time.
